Welcome to BinaryLaneCustomer.com

This website is running in Brisbane on a Binary Lane cloud VPS with the $10 plan. It has been setup to:

To monitor availability, we use the third party website Pingdom.com. They have a page you can access (linked above) to see what our availability (uptime) has been on this website. I've also included an IFRAME'd copy above

This website is run on a completely standard server, ordered via the Signup page that all customers use. It does not have any preferential treatment or special functionality to enhance availability - we want this website to be completely representative of what all customers see.

We do offer load balancing of two or more servers; however this site is just a single cloud VPS to demonstrate worst-case availability. Check our Load-balancer subsite to see how failover can improve availability.

Please note the "Average response time" is calculated based on the time to download this HTML page byPingdom.com's servers, which aren't based in Australia.

To test the amount of bandwidth available from your location, please download the 100MB file linked above. Here is a sample download from my home ADSL in Brisbane; it maxes out my 10mbits:

Binary Lane is hosted at the NextDC datacentre in Brisbane, Australia.

You can use this website to determine what the latency is like from your location to Binary Lane. If you are in eastern Australia with a broadband connection, you should see between 30ms and 50ms. For example, here is a ping and traceroute from my home connection in Brisbane.

More Information

There's plenty of information on our website about the service, but I would like to leave you with one parting thought.

Mammoth are not just another hosting company, we are developers and website operators just like you. We have been building and hosting our own popular website AusGamers.com for over 10 years now, so we truly understand what is required from a hosting service. We have complete trust in our VPS environment, hosting both AusGamers and the Binary Lane website within a couple of standard issue VPS (with the use of our free load balancing service).

If you would like to know more, please join the online chat on our website during business hours - just ask for Nathan.
